Move Event from one SIM to another?

How can I move a managed event on one SIM server (lab) to our SIM server in production?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Could you explain in a bit more detail what you're trying to do.

I have a lab SIM 4.1 sp2 and a production SIM 4.1 sp2 server.

The lab SIM has all the user configurable events (email notifications etc.) that I want to duplicate on the production SIM server.

Can I move the events (email notifications) to the production SIM server without duplicating my user configurable events?

If so, how?

Not that I know of. A lot of this stuff is held in the database. That might be a way of transferring it, but it would either mean replacing the entire database or finding out which tables to unload / reload.

It might be quicker to reset them up.

I was afraid of resetting them in the production SIM, becuase of the number of events and their complexity.

If you can wait a couple of weeks, a non-standard application of the data migration tool could be just what you need. With HP SIM 4.2, the data migration tool can update any IM7 or previous HP SIM 4.x in either an in-place upgrade (install on top of what you were running before) or a migration to a new machine. Might be just the ticket. Put December 8 on your calendar.

(disclaimer: please no flames if it turns out to be December 9 or 10!)

That's a date I've got in my calendar now as well, although I'll probably need to put in the 9th. Being at GMT + 13 at the moment we're a bit ahead datewise!
