mxmib already in use?

I'm trying to register a mib in HP SIM 4.1. When I run the mxmib command I get the following message:

ANOTHER USER IS CURRENTLY USING MXMIB, PLEASE TRY AGAIN.

mxmib.exe is not showing up under processes in task manager.

Any ideas?

Try running

mxmib -r

if you are sure there is nobody else performing mib compilations.

Hi Phil,

Generally you encounter the above said problem when there is any interruption in registering MIB and then running "mxmib" command. So , Restart the HPSIM service and run "mxmib" command it will work fine.

Try to avoid any interruptions while registering "mibs".

Thanks guys. I restarted the HP SIM service and all seems well.
