To clarify...

- Disk thresholds being exceeded and you can see an even with Windows Event Viewer but no trap arrives at HP SIM
- When you use the cpanel applet to [Send Test Trap] from that same device, an event is received in HP SIM

Correct?

I've set up some disk thresholds and can see events in event viewer when the threshold is reached but no SNMP traps are sent. I can however send test traps that can also be seen in the event view of the client machine.

Any thoughts would be apreciated.

Yep the test traps from the insight manager agent on the 'client' show up in the windows event viewer and on the SIM server. The disk thresholds show as exceeded in terms of the foundation agent in the event viewer as well as in the insight manager disk space applet but no SNMP trap gets sent to SIM.

I have a READ/CREATE community as suggested in some posts and posts and I'm sending trapped to 127.0.0.1 and the management server.

Are SNMP sets enabled on the client? (can be done through settings tab in the web UI or in the cpanel applet)
