Are you trying to do this from an account other than the one HPSIM was installed under?

The new account may not have the correct permissions.

I'm trying to set up a basic email + system event log task and I receive the error:

Unable to save event and system criteria. Please edit criteria and retry

...when I click Finish. This is a new install on Win2K3 Standard backed by a Win2K3 Standard, SQL 2000 SP3a server (separate HP server).

I believe I saw an entry in these forums about errors with clustered servers, but these servers are not clustered. Any ideas on how to get this to work? I can receive SNMP traps from the individual servers without issue.

Yes, although I believe I did try the account that it was installed under (I'll retry).

With the acct I logged in under, I did provide the same user permissions that the Admin user had.
