Yes you will still need to establish a trust between them. Even though they are on the same machine they see each other as separate entities so establishing a trust would be most useful

I recently installed HP SIM 4.2 on a fresh install of Win2k3. When I try to do the initial PSP install, I keep getting an error that there are no support packs in this catalog. What am I missing here?

Check if the system which has the repository is trusting the system where HPSIM is installed. These settings can be changed using the Insight management agent pages.

Hello

You must import ProLiant SupportPack in to Repository. Go to the Version Control Repository Manager on your SIM4.2 server homepage and import proliant support pack's.

I.
Thanks for the responses, I'll definitely try these. As far as the trust relationship between the repository and the server that HP SIM is installed on, they are both on the same machine. Will I still need to establish the trust?

I have this same problem. Where are the support packs? I have gone to the Version Control Repository Manager on the homepage and can not find the proliant support pack's.
