Firmware Deploymrnt on HPSIM 4.1

My Cms has been working just fine, deploying firmware etc., buy today for some unknown reason, all attempts at deployment have failed with timeout errors.

I have rebooted the CMS server and the SQL Server, but still the same problem, I have also tried diferent target servers!

Anyone seen this before and got a solution and/or reason for this?

Not really, I do get the occasional "unable to get item from repository" but the retry usually works.
Are you getting this during large scale deployment or just individual calls via the VCA?

This problem occurs with any type, also run now or schedule, out of no where was workign great!

hi, please try to update the programs of one machine via the local VCA GUI.

If it is not working from the local VCA then there is a configurational problem. If this works you may have a performance bottleneck on the CMS.

I think I've sorted it........I removed the component from the repository, deleted the .exe from the repository folder. updated the catalogue so confirm it had been removed.

Copied a fresh firmware.exe the repository folder, created the component again, updated the repository and it worked!!

Seems a painful process especially not understanding exactly what stopped it working in the 1st place.
