topic newbie question-sorry in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I have two tasks set up. One that includes "ALL" events on all "ANY" server. And the other tasks that is based on event catagory. i.e.
Application,Integrity server Events,Proliant Nic Events,Proliant threshold events,Systems Insight Manager Events,
All of these Event Names set to "ANY".
My issue is I'm not getting notified (email) when a server gets rebooted, shut down, or goes off the network, etc. But I am getting notified when the server comes back up (i.e. Link up, or cold start).
Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Thanks

I can only guess there's some kind of contradiction in the Alert Notification.

I keep things simple, I'm notified of all Critical and Major Alerts.
They're two separate notification queries.

I also changed the Hardware Polling, I removed Ping from the Default one and created a Ping Only Polling task that runs every minute. The reason is that Servers reboot faster than the default 5 minute polling interval. The first alert you get is the SNMP Trap being sent as the Link comes up.

Polling every 1 min. seemed to do the trick. Thanks, that was good info.

Where did you create a Ping Only Polling task in SIM?
