Hi Sebastian.
It seems there is no possibility to give an user such rights. I have the same problem. I need to delegate the site admins to clear their own events but in spite of many tests I need to give them almost full rights. The only thing I can do is to allow them to see only their site servers. Hope HP will program such feature

Hello Guys,

I have a problem with my HPSIM authorization. At the moment the authorizations for my users are >>>NONE RIGHTS, MONITOR TOOLS and ALL SYSTEMS. The views and options for the users are fine but one feature is to be absent. They can view the Event Log but the cannot delete the Logs. For their work they need this option so I must set the role to FULL RIGHTS. But now they can also delete Systems, Tasks and have altogether to much rights. How can I resolve the problem that they can only delete Event Logs? I hope you can help me. thanks for solutions

best regards

Sebastian

You can do that by creating a toolbox or edit the existing monitor tools tool box and add the Delete Events tool.To do the same goto Options->Security->Users and Authorizations->toolbox and then under Show tools of category select "Configuration Tool", and in the list box select "Delete Events" and add it. And now if this toolbox is assigned to the user you desire, he can delete the events in a list from Options->Events->Delete Events.

(The only disadvantage here is that the only option available is to delete all the events of a particular list)

This is by design and is part of the HP SIM security model.
