Does anyone know if it's possible to set up SIM to send an alert when a new support paq is downloaded into the version control repository? Thanks!

Bummer. Do you know if HP themselves have a newsletter or something I could use?

I hate having to look for updates all the time.

Thanks!

If you go to the Software Download Pages there's a number of Alerts you can sign up for.

So go to:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locOsCat/69.html
And then go to the subscribe page.

There's also some very good Advisories that you can get which indicates possible issues.

FYI, SIM does generate an event when new files are downloaded to the repository. The event description is "A repository update has occurred." You could set up an event to trigger off of that. It's not going to tell you specifically what the files are, however, and since it happens on a schedule you specify, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise anyway.

- Steve
