I already have the 7.10 Support Paq on all my servers. The software status in CIM was green for all servers, but now the Software status on all my servers has turned yellow because the Version Control Repository Manager has downloaded a bunch of updates. All the rest of the updates install OK but when I install the VCA by clicking the grey button to "install/update the software" I get this error.

tried to install on 2 systems - one with 6.40 and the other with 7.10.

i get the same error on both systems.

hi!

i found it - you need to install the new package "cp005152.exe" (hp system management homepage for windows). it was downloaded with the new version control agent.

what i donÂ´t understand is that after installing it i have now 2 system management homepage iconÂ´s in the management agents menu. is it replacing any part of software or an additional tool...?

I have the same problem. Where is the package cp005152.exe located? I couldn't find it on HP sites or on my SIM-Server (autoupdated).

I found the solution.
De file CP005152.exe (Homepage 2.0 installer) is already downloaded by the repository manager (\repository\CP005251.exe).
The file is not recognized in the previous version of Version Control manager, for this item (Management Homepage) is not an item in the VC.

Run this file manually on all the servers, prior to installing the new version of VC (CP004689.exe). you can install this new version of VC manually or through the VC.

With the manual installation of CP005152.exe it's working fine. Let's go to update about 90 Servers manualy.

guess the pain CAN be relieved..

You can go to the Deploy Menu,
and Select Deploy Drivers, Firmware and Agents.
Then select Install Software and Firmware.

There you can select which systems, and which package.
There the file is located at
Software - System management
HP System Management Homepage for Windows
2.0.1.104

about 350 servers worldwide to update...

but iÂ´d rather do it manually because i want to know whatÂ´s going on.

I'm unable to install the new System Management Homepage (cp005251.exe) on some W2000-Servers. Setup starts and the Win-Java is shown as a running process for a few seconds but nothing else matter. The Page is always the old one.

Any idea?

Well i had another strange thing:

After installing the CP005251.exe with the "Deploy Drivers, Firmware and Agents" tool in HPSIM, the VC Repository manager disappeared completely.

The files were still there, and it said it was still running (in the processes list), but it was not recognized by the HPSIM anymore.
the solution to this problem eventually was reÃ¯nstalling the Version control Repository manager. :(

Are all the other items in the VCA up-to-date?

Maybe the Management Homepage 2.0 has some dependencies?

I had to delete the %systemdrive%\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin which showed up as a file instead of a folder to get The HP System Management Homepage install to work.

The the VCA and Online diagnostics would install
