As part of the discovery process HP SIM should kick off the "Initial Data Collection" task. Since data can change, HP SIM periodically needs to re-collect the data. To be nice to your network and not a network hog, by default a "Bi-Weekly Data Collection" task is scheduled. You can edit this task to match the frequency of change in your environment. Remember this data is relatively static, so change refers to hardware configuration changes generally, like adding new cards or changing a drive. HP SIM does not collect dynamic data like performance into the database.

The data collection report for a Windows 200 server does not populate correctly. I ran one manually and under most of the tables I get this error "There is no data for this table".
How do I fix this?

Make sure the bi-weekly task has run, it is this that populates the reports tables.

David,

Should the Initial Data Collection task have the same info as the Bi-Weekly data collection report?
I added a new server to the network and I want to have the data collection report completed to attached it to our asset DB. The Bi-Weekly is scheduled tomorrow, I will check on Monday to see what kind of data I got. Thanks
