I am running HP SIM 4.2 on a 2K server. The system can see the clients with XP SP1, but not clients with SP2, even with the XP firewall disabled. On the management console the XP SP2 clients simply is listed as unmanaged.

I had alredy seen this article and had first decided that the article did not apply to my situation, as my XP Firewall was disabled. But since it was brought up again and gave it a try.
I did not follow part 1, as I am not using SMH
I did Part 2 and part 3
I did not follow part 4 as I am using 4.2
I did part 5
It still did not work, also after booting the server and the client.

There are 2 ways that HP SIM can manage clients, either with the now-end-of-life Insight agents for clients or through WBEM/WMI. Make sure that the WBEM password you have entered is valid for the SP2 systems you show as unmanaged.
