This volume is deleted and re-created during the QR process.

If after the upgrade you are still having network config issues and you want to avoid the QR (reset to defaults) you will need to create a support case with the HPE technical team so they can determine the best course of action.

Since this post was marked as resolved, feel free to create a new one if you still need help.

Chip

I can't seem to run the network wizard, address wizard or create new network configurations. I get a message saying "management services are starting up, please retry in a few seconds" or "command failed". I would like factory default this thing if possible because I believe it was misconfigured by one of the former systems engineers at my job. I've looked all over and can't find the command to reset this device. I also can't update the DNS settings via the CLI ... I get "command failed" there too.

In a situation like this best is to create open a case with the StoreOnce support team to check the logs and design an action plan.

If you decide to just reset the StoreOnce to factory defaults, this is what we called a QR process. Keep in mind that the QR will delete all the existing data from the system and all the configuration.

As a note, the new StoreOnce code 3.18.21 was released just a few days ago so you can go wth this one. Here is the link to download the QR iso file:

https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softwaredetails?language=en_US&collectionId=MTX-eb012d82671d4999

This is the advisory about the new code:

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00138550en_us

In a nutshell, the QR process is:

- download the QR iso file

- create a bootable QR USB Stick using the iso file and the HP USB Key Utility for Windows

- delere all volumes from the storage: use command: "hardware delete storage all"

- connect to the StoreOnce console via iLO or directly connect a monitor and keyboard

- insert the USB key and boot up the StoreOnce from USB

- follow the instructions and Restore the StoreOnce

- after the installation is done, remove the USB and reboot the system

- configure the storage volumes and the StoreOnce file system:

= "hardware show storage status" - this will show no volumes found

= "hardware discover storage" . Wait until this is done, then:

= "hardware add storage" - this will create the file system. it will take a few hours to complete. You can monitor using: "hardware show storage status"

- Configure the product: network, time, etc: "system set config"

That being said, I would still recomment to open a support case if the system is still under contract.

Chip
