topic VLS 6653 : Automigration Tab Web Error in StoreOnce Backup Storage

The automigration tab in the CV VLS interface is showing the following error in the lefthand pane:

An exception occurred: null

The righthand pane shows the list of tape libraries and drills down if I select on, but without the tree view on the left pane I cannot select slots, etc.

Restarting the emulations, or even the entire library does not help.

Is there a solution short of reloading the VLS from the Quickrestore DVD?

Michael,

Please tell me what version of VLS firmware you are running and whether or not you have any patches installed.

Have you contacted HP support? We may need a support ticket to resolve the issue.

Thanks.

Regards,

Kevin
The firmware was 2.2.0, with the 2.2.0_100 patch installed.

I upgraded it to 3.0.0 firmware this morning. It looked OK until I added the MSL libraries in the Automigration tab, then the problem came back.

I have not opened a ticket with HP support yet.

We eventually determined the problem was caused by some sort of corruption in the storage pool. We were not able to determine how that came to pass. Rebuilding the storage pool fixed the issue.
