HP SIM pass-through Authentication for ILO?

Hi All,

Recently comissioned 2 x c-class chassis and have installed HP SIM 5.1 SP1. Latest firmware on all devices.

I have noticed in HP SIM that the Management Processor lines are not populated with the names that have been configured in iLO.

eg: 192.168.27.162 in Server cbrep082 - the IP should really say "cbrep082-ilo"

I have noticed when clicking on any of these management IP links for the health status I am prompted with the login information of iLO.

**How can I configure HP SIM to automatically log in to iLO as a trusted source?**

Cheers
Hi Deceit,

You can configure it in the iLO.
Select security in the left navigational tree then HPSIM SSO Tab.
Add a HPSIM server you will be able to do SSO.

Please refer to the attachment.

Regards,
Raghuarch

Thank you for the response Raghuarch.

It looks like I have to use an Activation Key. So I dont get to see the same settings as you do.

See the screen shot from my License Manager within HP SIM. The Status says "Licensed but no key information available".

I am not sure if I have the appropriate licenses? But I thought they would have come with the blade/chassis... The pass through authentication works if I manage the iLO's through the HP Onboard Administrator

Thanks again for your assistance.
Hi Deceit,

The License that comes with the blades are not Advanced licenses.
So you need iLO2 Advanced Licenses to Do SSO from HPSIM.

I don't know any other steps.
Please post if you are able to do it without the Advanced License.

Regards,
Raghuarch
