Hi Pavel,

The 490 G6 has 18 memory slots, but only 2 10Gb NICs (although each is a FlexNIC, configurable to 4 NICs sharing 10Gb bandwidth). The model also doesnt have hotplug SAS drives, it uses solid state SATA instead. If you want drive redundancy you need to purchase a P712 card and use one of the mezzanine slots.

If that isn't good enough you will have to wait until the BL680 G7s are released with Intel processors. They currently have only AMD offerings.

BL490 G6 quickspecs:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13236_na/13236_na.HTML

P712 controller quickspecs:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13296_na/13296_na.HTML

good luck, if you appreciate the answers we appreciate the points!

You should really describe what your exact requirements are. The BL460c G6 can now run with 12 cores, 24 threads (the G6 has Hyper Threading), 192GB of memory and has 2 10GB Onboard NICs. You can add more 10GB NICs and 8GB FC using Mezz cards as well.

So what requirement is it exactly that makes you think you need a full height blade?
