Hello Stefano,
I do not see any reason why hyper-v should not work on your server.
Difference between G1 and G5 models are mostly in different CPU generation (4core vs 2core) and power management options. For example we use one G1 filled with amd 4cores and it runs great. In my opinion is g1 consiedered as "retired" model and support matrix is not actualized.

Jan

Hi all ,
I've got a question about hyper-v R2 support on blade bl465c G1 .
at the following link it seems that windows 2008 Hyper-v R2 is only supported on bl465c G5 and G6
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/windows/index.html#BL2
However in another HP documentation is said that also bl465c g1 supports hyper-v R2 .

Since I have to answer a customer which want to reuse such servers in an Hyper-v Project can anyone tell me for sure if bl465c G1 do support Hyper-v R2 ?

Thanks
Hi Mark ,
The first link you provided is exactly the one I put in my question ,
I knew about it . The problem is that in the pdf attached to my post is clearly stated that bl465c g1 support hyper-v r2.
So the question is about anyone that know for sure it will ( or not ) work on that server
thanks

hmm stevan that is your opinion imho this forum is not actually for opinions period.

But to resolve technical issues learn and have points assigned accordingly to "all" ."

..who assist, did you notice the all it is not begging or asking it is highlighting.

I have used this as a signature not a directed statement.

you mention that you think it is okay in some rare sitations

I think it is appropiate in all situations

Thats where we differ thats why i mention this forum is not the place for such
opinions, hope you agree in hindsight, but alas thats your choice..

I see you assign points to all your questions which is commendable but not all are like you unfortunately.,

This is how we thank each other in the forum
its for all who contribute in assisting

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/helptips.do?#33

Enjoy:)"
