Hi there,

how exactly you are trying to install ESX 3.5 on blade server ?

Are you using ILO virtual media ?
Are you using blade internal drives or external storage?
Did you try different version of ESX just to isolate?

thanks
Aftab

I am trying to install VMware 3.5 update 4 but i keep getting the error:
Uncompressing Linux...

crc error

--System Halted

This error occurs after initrc.img starts to load during setup. I verified the ISO is good and the CentOS setup goes beyond the initrc.img load so what is the problem?

I am using the iLO virtual media connecting to an ISO image. I have the same result with another ESX ISO image. Setup runs beyond this point when mounted to a vm workstation session using the same image.
