Have you tried "help" to get the syntax for changing the date?

Bit surfing on Dennis' reply:

If you are at the
MP MAIN MENU:
the trick is to enter
CM Menu first:
MP> cm
Then under CM, do help
MP:CM> he
then do LI to get list of commands.
at this point you can enter any command and it will list the help info for it.

I done this from shell prompt by the below method on BL860c i2

* To set the system time:
fs0:\> time 9:51:30
fs0:\> time
09:51:31 (GMT+08:00)

Shell> help time
Displays or changes the current system time.
TIME [hh:mm[:ss]] [-tz tz | -tz local] [-d dl]
