      <title>Intensive Processing Blades with Write Cache</title>

      <description>We are trying procuring some BL460 as power processing systems. All Source data and the eventually output will not be local but rather be accessed on a file-server. Only the OS and the processing application will be local within the processing systems themselves.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Since the required Input / Output data will not be local, is there any need for “Flash Backed Write Cache” module? Would there be any performance gain in having one in such configuration?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>In this configuration the FBWC will add no performance gain. You can use internal SA P410i/ZM (zero memory).</description>

      <description>Thanks for the response. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unfortunately the Processing software requires a Windows FileServer and one of the blades will serve that purpose. Only the data are not also local on this FileServer but through connection to an iSCI NetApp NAS-Storage.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Since the Data-Disks are not physically local on this FileServer, could it be concluded as well that FBWC will be of no use.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
