ESX 4.1 BL460c G7 install fails - no network adapter

Trying to install ESX 4.1 on a BL460c G7 in a Hp C7000 enclosure with 2 HP gbe2c switches. Been through it 6 months ago - no problems. Now this time the ESX install fails saying No network adapters were detected. Tried looking for driver packages on VMWare site (to load addtional drives on install) and HP - nothing related to gbe2c. Noticed image version on older gbe2c was 2.0 and new one is 5.1 - tried downreving to 2.0 and still same error.

Download the HP build of ESX, who has all the drivers pre -loaded in the image

You can download HP drivers and install it on ESXi

You need to get 2 things done here.

GBE2c with 2.0 firmware is very very old.. This version is the initial release.
Ensure that you have the Boot image and Firmware updated on all the GBE2c switch in the enclosure with version 5.1.3.

Second is that the Blades BL460c G7 are installed with latest NIC firmware and rest of the firmwares using Firmware DvD 9.30 and the be2net driver to latest version availale from Vmware.

Thanks NXS you hit the nail on that one. I cannot believe that HPs site does not list those under drivers for BL460c or the HP GBE2c switch. I was looking for a VMWare - HP specific image and that's it!
