So the chassis themselves do NOT have an UUID, only the servers?

We're trying to collect the UUIDs of each of the 20 or so p-class chassis we have in our environment, however I am not sure how to collect this info. I am able to collect the UUID of the blades via iLO in each chassis, but not the chassis itself. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Jim

Hello Jim,

R U looking for UUID on a sticker on the Chassis ? I dont think so. UUID are used by Software for Server identification.

Refer:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_CN0503W

Regards.

I just checked three spare chassis we have here, and I did not see a UUID sticker. Only stickers I saw had the PID & serial number...

Well that's funny, because the OTHER (coughibmcough) blade chassis we have are identified by UUIDs. I take Wikipedia pages with a grain of salt..
