Dear All,

i have bl460c server, the problem during server startup after POST then the server wait 5 second before enter windows, then enter widows automaticlly.

but now the server don't enter windows until you press enter buttom (the 5 second left then do nothing until press enter to start windows)

Can you please paste the content of the boot.ini file here?

But... what does appear in the screen before you press enter? In a default Windows installation there's not a 5 seconds countdown.

Hi Halabi,

This is a problem with the ILo version 1.42.
If you are using the same, please downgrade it to the lower version,

If you are using any other version please post the same.

Hello Walid,
1) Edit boot.ini & change the wait time to 0 secs;
2) Wait for iLO firmware 1.50, later this year or jan '08(this issue shud be corrected in the new version)

the system stop in the following black screen:

please select the operating system to start

windows server 2003,Enterprise [EMS enabled]
microsoft windows recovery console

use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice
press enter to choose

please downgrade the iLO to a lower version.
It will fix the issue.
