Hello, I performed a firmware upgrade on one of my BL460's it appeared to go OK by I now get a "MGMT Processor failed" error and it will not power up at all, it is in a C6000 enclosure.

Is there anything I can do.

Please be gentle as I am fairly new to Blades, I normally deal with DL / ML series servers.
Thanks
Sean

Pull it out, plug in back in after a minute.
It probably will be ok. If not, Call HP Support.

Thanks, tried reseating blade, tried using backup ROM all no good, logged a support call - motherboard being replaced :-(
Apparently the Firmware 8.40 cd should NOT be used on blades, use 8.30 and manually update from there.

Thanks
Anyway
Sean

Firmware CD is now 8.5

And I've used the HP BladeSystem Firmware Deployment Tool CD not the general firmware CD. This is at version 1.50.
I'm expecting it to be updated to 1.60 soon.

I confirm with SeanB about this problem, 3 out 4 blades I tried to upgrade with the 8.40 firmware CD failed and had to have their system boards replaced.

I just got done trying the new 8.50 firmware CD and it STILL DOES THE SAME THING, it turned the blade I was upgrading into a paperweight.

ONLY USE VERSION 8.30 OF THE FIRMWARE CD, ANYTHING ABOVE THAT WILL BORK YOUR SYSTEM BOARD.
