No Problem, You also need to licence the enclosure to VCEM.

Hi

I have HP SIM 5.3/VCEM 1.4. I am trying to use VCEM to manage my HP C7000 chassis flex 10 modules and during discovery, the chassis domain is not appearing under "All Chassis Virtual Domain."

I configured the Flex modules for local IP and a domain ip.

Any suggestions or step that I may have missed?

Yes,

I use the folowing cli commands

set domain name = chassis_vc_domain
set domain ipaddress=192.168.1.10 subnetmask=255.255.255.0 gateway=192.168.1.1
set domainip =enabled.

When I run a discovery, only the chassis information shows up under "All C Class Chassis", nothing else.

Thanks

Those commands do not create a virtual connect domain.

There must be a virtual connect domain created before VCEM can be manage it (OR SIM to discover it).

1. LOG IN TO VC IP WITH BROWSER
2. FOLLOW THE WIZARD
3. DISCOVER VC IP IN SIM
4. MANAGE WITH VCEM

Hello,

Thank you for your help. I tried your recommendation and it did not work. After hours with HP support, they told me it will be a miracle to solve my problem and it would have to be documented and escalated another level.

I think the support guy wanted to go home because he kept giving me the "I don't know".

I went ahead and blew away all configuration on the chassis and only focus on configuring the OA and Flex. This actually worked!!!.
