Dear Slvia

a)Using the Diagnostic Cable
The ProLiant BL p-Class server blades have a network port that provides two diagnostic connections through a special Diagnostic Cable, To perform some server blade configuration and diagnostic procedures, you will use the diagnostic cable that ships with the system.

b)Check the attached file for using Diagnostics station

Regards

Robin

Hi Robin,

I am using the Diagnostic cable to connect to the diagnostic port on the front of the blade. I've tried the diagnostic cable on other blades in the enclosure but cant connect to them either.

So I wondered if there was another way to connect to a blade when the system is on but not booted.

It looks like your Diagnostics cable seems to be having problem, try to get hold of replacement cable or USE ProLiant Blade Diagnostic Station

Regards

Robin
Sylvia,

Are you using a twisted or straight-thru cable to connect to the front dongle cable?

Try the opposite....
