    <description>Yep .. I think they just forgot to put an option to vc manager where you could change that. It is ridicilous that there is a FC-loop as default option. Switched fabric is the modern way to go.</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am trying to find a way to configure my HBA with a RDP or linux script. I have looked at the SSST stuff and it does let me read/write some of the parameters, but I would like to set the "connection option {?!)" to point-to-point (1) and the tool hpqlarep doesn't seem to allow that&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Alex</description>

      <description>Yep ...waiting for that option too, we are using virtual connect modules and this "connection option" setting in qlogic BIOS is pure pain in the ass when using RHEL4</description>

      <description>Interesting, we are using virtual connect as well.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Finding you have to do a lot more prep in the qlogic card to make it rip and replace :)</description>
