ILO problem with VISTA operating system

Hi,
i'm trying to install a BL45p through ILO.
I have problem with virtual media program, when i connect device (iso or cd ) after a little time it is disconnect automaticaly without warning or error and stop installatio.
Can you help me or anyone have similar problem?

What VISTA release you try to install
ISO image size?
VISTA is not supported officially at blades

sorry , but i mean that i installed windows 2003 server in a blade bl45p but the i do installatio with my notebook where i have installed windows vista.
I think that there is a incopatibility between windows vista and ILO virtual media.

Do you have try this configuration?
Maybe that ilo require java 1.4.

Hello,

I had the same problem when trying to mount a CD-rom with Windows Vista. The solution for me was to find iexplore.exe and right-click on it and choose "Run as adminstrator". Then it worked to mount an physical CD-rom to the ILO server (virtual device).

Hi dear,
i had still mount CD with Intenet Explorer with "run as administrator" but after little time same issue.
I think that there is a problem with Java Virtual Machines...

We were having the same issues with our vista laptops, the upgrade of all the ILO's on the blades fixed the issue instantly. I suggest strongly a boot USB stick with all the updates for firmware and ILO. Just plug it in when you get a new blade and your done.

Just go to internet explorer options and go to security tab and uncheck "enable protected mode" this will resolve your problem.

one thing more you do need to restart all sessions of internet explorer after that .

Although ILO firmare 1.91 added support for Vista and IE7, virtual media is one of the things that does not work well with that.
