    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have vmware installed in one enclosure c7000 with 8 full-height blades. And i want to virtualize four servers that have usb hardlocks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I recently, have tested a &lt;STRONG&gt;Sharkoon USB LANPORT 400, &lt;/STRONG&gt;but doesn't work with hardlocks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Someone know a method to virtualize this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Nuno&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try connecting directly to the Host through blade front port dongle and follow the steps as per below article: which allows to configure USB passthrough, but it has limitations on these configuration which you can find in the article.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A target="_blank" href="http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&amp;amp;cmd=displayKC&amp;amp;externalId=1022290"&gt;http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&amp;amp;cmd=displayKC&amp;amp;externalId=1022290&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Check with the&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Sharkoon USB LANPORT 400&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;if it supports all the device types as there could some limitation in device support, another solution which vmware certified is USB Anywhere try checking on these.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jagadish&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-----------------&lt;BR /&gt;Was the post useful?
