Have you tried the firmware upgrade tool? It's included with the firmware file and it has always done the trick for me.

Hi,

I've tried upgrading the firmware of my HP GbE2c Layer 2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch.

This procedure has obviously failed, see "attachment1.png".

To communicate with the switch I'm using Hyper Terminal in Windows XP and a serial cable to connect to the switchs serial/management port.

The "firmware overwriting process" seem fine until the *.bin files (GbE2c_528.bin, GbE2c_b_528.bin) are about to get extracted. Please see "attachment2.png".

The *.bin files are transfered to the switch via XMODEM.

I would appreciate your help very much,

since I've Googled couple of days now.

Best regards,

Oliver
