I’m looking for some help with using SPP to update a number of BL460c G7 Blades I have running ESX 5.

My confusion is when you have the option to Select Firmware or Software or both!

Does Software (in SPP) here mean Drivers?

What is the customer responsible for?

SPP only carriesFirmware (FW) for VMware systems. You can update the FW offline with the SPP. SPP 2013.02 has a limited number of online VMware FW components for deployment to systems running VMware ESXi 5 U1 and later. You must get the drivers and other "software" utilities from the HP custom image or VMware.
