Recently I bougth 2 C7000 chassis with on Virtual Connect Ethernet Module in each. On is used for development and the other one is used for User acceptance Test systems.

On both of them I can connect using the C7000 onboard system but I can see the virtual connect manager only on the DEV system.

I do not understand why in one chassis I can see the Virtual Connect Ethernet module in the Interconnect bay list but there is no TCP/IP adress or management URL set.

Could you help me ?

Hi,

I have set a fix tcp/ip address for the C7000 management console. What is strange that I see the VC module available in the interconnect bays list but there is no IP adress assign to it. Could you explain what is EBIPA ?

Thanks

We find that it is easiest to setup the OA on a DHCP enabled network and let it pass IP's through to the VCE modules. Everything just works no fuss no muss.
