topic Problem with 560flb and FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Modules in BladeSystem - General

Hi, I have a problem that Virtual Connect won't seem to split up my 560FLB nics into multiple nics. Perhaps I am missing something really stupid here.

To replace our previous C7000 chassis with gen8 blades, we now have a new C7000 chassis with BL460c gen10 blades and 2 VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Modules. Each blade has a HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLB Adapter. Fiber channel uplinks to the SAN and Ethernet uplinks are configured correctly. But when I create a server profile with 2 ethernet connections and 2 fcoe hba connections, only the first two network adapters are mapped.

The mappings:
LOM1:1 => Bay 1:d1
LOM1:2 => Bay 2:d1
The FCoE HBA connections are not mapped, and of course I get a warning that not all connections are mapped.

What I would expect, is that VC would automatically configure the NICs on the blades to split up. If I look on the old blades (that have the 650FLB adapters) I see that the nics are split up into LOM1:1-a, LOM1:1-b, etc, and all ports are mapped:
LOM1:1-a => Bay 1:d1:v1
LOM1:2-a => Bay 2:d1:v1
LOM1:1-b => Bay 1:d1:v2
LOM1:2-b => Bay 2:d1:v2

How can I get my 560FLB's to split up correctly?

Hi,

You are comparing 2 different adapters.

650 flb is flex fabric and 560flb is ethernet. so it you cannot map it to fcoe connections

Here are the quick specs for both adapters

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c04446451

https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04111516.pdf
