virtual connect flex10 replacement

we have a HP c7000 enclosure, wich has 2 flex10 modules.

One of the modules has problems with a port and we want to replace this module for a new flex 10 module.

Can we make a backup of the virtual domain in the webinterface of the virtual connect, swap the flex10 module and restore this previous made backup.

Yes you can do that , but normally vc handle this case for you

One module is master one module is slave (hosting vcm) so just locate master
and slave and change slave

Master will copy configuration in new module

Use vcmcli reset vcm command

Does this impact network traffic, cause we are in a production enviroment and cannot affort to loose connectivity right now

No reset only management stack (switch management from one vc to other vc)

Hi,

I've the same situation so I understand that I just reset de vcm to failover the management, then remove the failed VC Module and install the new VC Module. Am I right?

Right

Just check with vcsu tools which module hold vcm manager then failover and
replace failing module
