VCM Server Ports randomly changed to Not Linked/Smart Link

Hello Everyone,

10/22/2022 we got some alerts from our MSP that a bunch of our blade servers were showing nic failures on one of their interfaces. I investigated and this is what i found.

NOTE: No chances were made to any of the server profiles any time around this, and the system was working perfectly before this. The system is still functional since this issue is happening on the VCM we have mapped as the secondary NIC for all the servers.

Initially i thought that maybe something happened with the connection to the switch. maybe a port went bad so i checked that. When i did i saw that all the uplinks were in a green state and didnt seem to have any issues.

Then i checked the Server Ports section of the VCM and i see that the LOM1:2-a for every server is in a state of Not Linked/Smart Link

IMGLINK: Not/Linked/SMART Link

Went to the datacenter and I shut no shut the switch interfaces, unplugged and replugged the SFP ports on both sides, and reseated the VCM card, and nothing changed.

Not sure how to fix this issue. Wondering if maybe the VCM card is going bad since this wasnt caused by us changing server profiles. Let me know if you want me to provide any more information. I also looked through the logs, and there are some errors in there, but the same errors are there before 10/22/2022. I can post those logs in a reply if anyone wants to see them.
