topic Virtual Connect (VC) uplinks using Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) in BladeSystem - General

Oleg had a question regarding Multiple Enclosure Stacking (MES) configurations

*****************

Are there cookbook for multienclosure configurations available?

It’s not clear, how should I create vNets/Uplinks to get uplinks balanced, to keep traffic from going to TOR switches, and to maintain profile migrations available.

************

Reply from David:

**************

Attached is possibly the latest MES cookbook from April this year.

Active/Standby should allow the best East/West or internal traffic flow of VLAN and networks.

You could include Enc#_Bay#_OS in the name of a profile to keep track of where it started and what OS/function it does.

That profile can be moved to any bay in the VC Domain(MES enclosures) that have like HW.

************

Attached is the document.
