Can you hide unused FlexNICs in Virtual Connect v4.10?

Ivan was looking for some help on unused VC FlexNICs:

I’m looking for some more information regarding the new feature in VC 4.10 to hide the unused flexnics.

I’ve tried the option in both W2008R2 and Vsphere 5.1 in a new installation and I don’t see any difference in the Operating System.

Any ideas how this works?

Ivan, It does work in VC Manager.

You will need to delete the “unassigned” NICs and check the ‘Hide Unused FlexNICs’ box:

Then answer ‘Yes’ :

When powered on the blade will reboot a second time and the Network will go from:

To something like this:

It did not work leaving the ‘UnAssigned’ NICs in the profile…

Is it possible to enable the hide unused FlexNIC feature via the CLI? So far, it does not seem to appear in the config when checked in the GUI. Scripting this is a must.
