I have a customer with 2 x HP VC Flex-10 Enet Modules.

Usually at customers when a SUS has 2 x Uplinks 1 from each IC Module, the second link is in Standby Mode. However, In this case both are Active, why is this so.

Is this because there no Stacking Links between IC Bay 1 and IC Bay 2 (i.e. SFP’s in X7 and X8).

That would be the cause, for sure. The loop-avoidance mechanism is not seeing any loop, so no uplinks are in standby state.

This is not a good position to be in, in my view. Why are there no stacking links between modules???
