Blade Installation Verification Tests

Dean had a question regarding the Virtual Connect Fibre Channel modules:

Hi All,

So the local delivery team has completed the c7000; 3xbl460c G7;Flex10; & VC-FC installation. The next step is to complete verification testing of the various components.

We trying to get throughput data for the VC-FC interconnects, now we can collect data off the director switches to which the VC-FC are uplinked to using Brocade SANHealth but unfortunately we cant seem to connect to the VC-FC interconnects via a serial connection. The login credentials attached to the VC-FC interconnects don’t work and neither does the OA login credentials.

Has anyone who has worked with Flex10 & VC-FC ever tried to serially connect to the VC-FC interconnects and what credentials were used. Attached is the “show all” output.

Virtual Connect Fibre Channel (VC-FC) modules are only manageable through VC Manager that runs on the VC-Ethernet modules. You cannot connect to a VC-FC module directly in any useful manner.
