Virtual Connect firmware versions for 8 GB VCFC modules

Terri had a question regarding firmware for the VC-Fibre Channel modules:

Can anyone clarify what the VC-FC firmware should be for the 8GB VCFC modules? I thought there was a VCFC firmware 1.00 and 1.01. If so, what is it for?

Mark provided some insight:

Depends on the 8Gb module, there is a 20-port (Qlogic base) and a 24-port (Brocade base).

The 8Gb/20-port uses the same Binary as the 4Gb FC modules, so the latest is FW 1.40.

The 8Gb/24-port uses a different Binary, the latest is FW 1.01
