Hello,

The following doc provides some good port mapping information:

https://techlibrary.hpe.com/docs/iss/BL660c_Gen9/setup_install/247677.htm

The top illustration is the one you would want to refer to. In a half height blade (BL460c Gen10 for instance), you have the FLB and two mezz slots. The FLB maps to IC bays 1 and 2, mezz 1 maps to bays 3 and 4, and mezz 2 maps to 5 and 6. There are a few circumstances (eg. 4 port 1 Gb NIC in mezz 2) where mezz 2 can be used by IC bays 7 and 8, but they would not apply to your situations.

For the FLB NICs you will need to create profiles in VCM, if you haven't already done that. The VCM user guide provides detail on that:

https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00102211en_us

Regards

Hey all,

I am new to virtual connect technology and have an issue I need some assistance.

Have a C7000 Platinum enclosure with 3 BL460c Gen10 Blades.

Each blade consists of LPE1605 FC and 544+M Mezzanine cards

The interconnect bays are populated as such,

bay 1/2 = Flex-10D VC Modules

bay 3/4 = 16GB 24-Port VC Modules

bay 5-6 = 4x QDR Infiniband switch

bay 7-8 = 4x QDR Infiniband switch

Now I am not sure if additional Mezz cards are needed such as 536FLB but after accessing the virtual connect manager the ports on the flex-10D module are showing as unknown and unable to map ports to blades. Probably overlooking something simple, any help is appreciated.
