Dear all,

Please accept my apologies if this question is too basic (newbie here).

What we are trying to accomplish: we would like to set up on blade with OS plus custom software built by the engineering team, and then use that blade as a “template” and clone that file system/setup into 47 other blades (in a way that certain parameters are replaced properly: mainly the hostname $HOST. The ip address if fixed by each enclosure depending on the bay number.

Wondering if there is a way to create an image to be used as template or something along those lines? A configuration script is undesirable because it would create maintenance burden long term.

Environment:
Enclosures are c7000s
Blades are g9 44 cores
OS is Ubuntu 22

Would like to thank you for reading and for any ideas!
