I was able to get past this problem using either a reset or a power down/up using the Virtual buttons withing the OA interface and reinstalling the firmware. Buttons are found on this screen in OA - Enclosure Information\Interconnect Bays\click on bay 3 or 4\click Virtual Buttons tab.

Hello,

I have a new C7000 chassis and we have installed the latest firmware, OA version 2.25 and Virtual Connect version 1.31. The 4GB VC-FC modules say they have version 1.11 installed and running and the firmware upgrade fails. When I look at the information about the interconnect bays with the 4GB Fiber Channel modules it says Incompatible Firmware - Major. Anybody seen this problem? any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

Seen it too few times, happened with 1.31 updates from 1.16 and 1.21. Resolution was to reset affected FC-VC module and wait few minutes to let it boot up --> reflash to module. If still no go, reboot it once more.

Reseating the modules seems to have fixed that. Thanks for you help.
