Upgrade the BIOS and ILO firmware - that will fix it.
You need to ensure that your BIOS, ILO and OA firmware are in a supported matrix.
This is typical indicator when they are not.

Hi,
I have a blade system c7000 with eight servers.
On the HP onboard administrator web page, I see a few installed servers with their real name, other with a serial number and others with MININT-JVC as name (among them, even one with an installed operating system).
What's the real meaning of MININT-JVC?
How can I rename to its real name?

Thanks

Hey.. Thats a temporary name set by WINPE if i'm not misstaken.

You can try reseting the servers ILO or SSH/telnet to chassi and typ "reset server [baynumber] to reset the whole server (Like takinge the server out and insert it again)

One of the above should work..

//Cederberg

If you are using RDP to install / manage your blades... that is the name (or part of it) that the blades get when they boot into WinPE while RDP is running a job on the server.

A power reset should fix the name, just make sure RDP is finished with any jobs for that blade.

Steven

Yes, I'm using RDP/Altiris but there are no pending jobs. I tried also to "reset" server but not it keeps an OLD name, different from actual one.
