set management console IP for cisco 3020 in OA

Hi

I set up a C7000 with two cisco 3020 Switches.
The Management IP for the switches was set manually (not via DHCP and OA).

When I click on the Interconnect Bay on OA, the managemen IP for the cisco switches is allways http://0.0.0.0 .
How can I change this?

Am I a bit stupid or what?

1. I click on "Click here to view a script containing a list of the enclosure's current inventory."

2. I save these informations to a .txt via notepad

3. I Edit the Infos as shown:

3. I save this script and upload it

4. I only get "Invalid Command" messages and no change of the config.

This make sense, because, it's just an info-command. I was trying to do it with the OA CLI, but for the command "set interconnect" i have only two parameters: UID and POWERDELAY.

A little bit yes...

The reason why your script wont work is that you should be using the "configuration" script not the "inventory script". Inventory script is just a status txt file. The config script is one you can return as a config file.

Anyway... its far easier to change the internal IP of the Cisco using the EBIPA config and interconnect bays.

The reason why you have it set as 0.0.0.0 is that if you have set the IP via the front serial then you have set a management IP up on VLAN1. But the Cisco management IP within the blade enclosures is port FA0 - they are not the same.

Shure, I was trying to do it via the "configuration script", but there was no "management URL" information stored in it, so i tried the Inventory script.

It works!

The IP is now shown in OA, but if I like to access the switch via telnet, i have to give him a other ip address in a subnet, which is different from the FA0 subent???

So, finnaly the swicht gets two addresses in different subnets? true?

Yes there are two management IPs.

One can be accessed from the "front" network ie thru the Cisco switches (VLAN1)

One can be accessed from the "back" network ie thru the OA port. (FA0)

So I forget about the FA0 IP Addressing and use only the VLAN1 IP Address.
