I think my ILO2 may have been corrupted, probably as a result of rebooting in the middle of an upgrade.

I noticed the following error when I tried to upgrade ILO2 again, the questions are

a. is unsetting the security switch the only solution to fix the problem? (obviously, I could have replaced the motherboard :-(, but I like to avoid opening the box if I can.)

b. Does anyone know where I can find the document on (un)setting the security switch? where is the switch?

the following is the error message ...

FLASH_iLO2 v1.08 for Linux (Nov 7 2008)

Copyright 2008 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

Firmware image: ilo2_170.bin

ERROR: Make sure supported hp Lights-Out driver (hp-ilo RPM 8.1x and earlier)

is installed and loaded.
