Hi,

we have a strange issue with BL460c G6 in a c7000 enclosure with 2 VC Flex10 LAN and FC.

The Problem is, that the blade in Slot1 has physical Ethernet Link but is not able to communicate while the blades in the other slots do.
Now, when I move the blade in slot1 to another slot and copy the profile, it works fine. When I take a working blade and put it in slot1 and copy the profile, the blade doesn't work either. When I failover the VCs the problem persists. Firmware is uptodate.

We have this issue in 2 separate enclosures with identical configuration. HP support has no idea yet. Config is fine.

Thanks for any feedback!

There was an issue with how blades were populated in bays with Flex10. I would recommend upgrading VC to fw 2.12 as the symptoms you describe sound very similar to the blade population issue.

Upgrade your Flex-10 and OA to the latest available firmware and the blade population issue goes away. I've got Flex-10 running and the blades are in bays 1,2 with no issue passing traffic back and forth.

Hi,

thx for your answers,

OA FW is 2.60
Flex10 FW us 2.12

So this should be the latest. The issue persists, though. HP wants to replace the flex10, but they don`t seem to be available at the moment.

Jonathan, do you have G6 running in slot 1+2?

br
