topic HP BL35p SAS Controller in BladeSystem - General

Good Day.

After replacing the SAS controller of BL35p server, are there any configurations to be made? Software or hardware side to that extent?

Could it be swap from the same unit with the same part number without any problem (configuration), just like plug n play?

Thanks.

IIRC after replacing the SAS controller, you need to use LSI configuration utility when the server is powered on and "add the SAS drives there. Once added, the controller reads the logical drive configuration off the drives and makes available to use.
