Help to find advantages IMC

Hi all.

I am writing the thesis about IMC, but i have not used IMC before because it is installed on Windows Server or on Linux, but i use windows XP, so i have little difficulties on understanding how to used it thats why could you help me to find answers to the following questions:

1. Why is it used while at the same time Windows Server or on Linux has such components for management network?
2.What advantages does it have comparing with components Windows or Linux?
3.What lacks have you met when you have used IMC?
4.Or is this program an addition to functions of Operation system?

you can install IMC on Windows XP,just try it and you may find the answer by yourself

Okey, i installed IMC on windows XP, and it installed database Microsoft SQl Server 2008 R2.

Can information taken from database?

If yes, how should i feel in network resource of database?

Do you have any network devices?

Just use IMC to manage the devices, and you will find the answer.

is it possible to create network with the help of 1 PC, 1 laptop and 1 printer?

I would think you would at least need a router. Or perhaps a hub but you would have to manually assign IP addresses.
