Can't run iMC

Hi,

I just installed RedHat and iMC, now I am trying to run it, but unfortunately getting error: Deploying failed.

Looks like something related to the DB. What does this file contain?

/etc/iMC-Reserved/log/dbresult_201511041444340.log

Oh and just to add to this, my guess is that your DB is not setup properly. Are you running MySQL on the same system? You need to make sure that root@localhost has a password set. If you don't, IMC tries to login with a password, and fails (even though logging in without a password would work).

MySQL has root password configured, however dbresult log says:

That's a new error message to me. Shouldn't get that if you're doing a new setup on a vanilla system. Probably worth doing what it says, and contacting support.

If you get stuck, I've got some Ansible playbooks for installing IMC on CentOS 6.x that work.

I've deployed the VA version of IMC 7.1

I appears to have installed ok, except it isn't seeing the VM network card, and says the service couldn't start.

Any ideas?

I haven't used the virtual appliance, but the docs indicate you'll need to run a script post-install, to set up the MAC to whatever your VM has been auto-allocated. You may need to run that script twice if the NIC hasn't reset itself.
